I got smacked in the face with a bee once while driving. Just flew right into my truck while I was driving, hit me in the face, then fell stunned to the floor. I flipped the fuck out the whole way home, hoping it was dead.
It wasn't.

Where in Texas? Might need to have a day of gathering.
Gryewolf wrote:I Q-tip my ears regularly.
They said it was because I had a cold and was congested, but if that were the case it would have gone away by now. I've been taking drugs and nose spray but it hasn't helped too terribly much.
With sinus infections, occasionally, mucus backs up into tubes around your mouth and nose, and gets up into your ears, which builds up pressure. That seems to be what you have. Your eyes, mouth, nose, and ears are all connected in various ways, so when one gets fucked up, it's very easy for it to affect the others (this is why you can get goopy eyes, your nose drains into your throat, ear pain can hurt your eyes, etc.).
Basically, the best thing to do is to take some pain medicine, use warm water to massage the inside of the ear (but make sure to leave nothing behind) and your face (it swells the tube which allows it to drain faster), and drink plenty of fluids so that your body can use it to flush out all of the crap that's in your system.

I was told by an ear doctor not to use q-tips on ears. It's how I got my other ear clogged for a week last summer.

I have heard several doctors recommending not to use q-tips.

I got playdoh in my ear(s) once when I was little.

I think you shouldn't use q-tips daily, but if you never clean your ears you end up like my brother, who has nasty dribble coming out of them in a gross little river on occasion because we can rarely get him to sit still for it ugh augh blegh. It's so, so gross.
I usually just swab mine after a bath or shower to keep the insides dry, and don't go deep or anything.

Youre not supposed to use q-tips, but I do anyway because I cant STAND having earwax.

Asians(or at least the Chinese) have special ear picking spoons. Though it's the kinda thing you need someone else to do for you.

There are the ear candles, too, I get them done every now and again. Helps with the tinnitus.

I always end up making it worse with q-tips, hence the syringe full of water in my ear now and then.
Of course, it's not the only cause. Some times I just wake up that way.

I think thats mimikaki. Some fancy babershops and spas do it but you can ger the kit for cheap and its not difficult. The ones you get at spas are a massage too, its REAAALLLY relaxing.

As a kid my mum used to use it on me. I can attest that it was, indeed, relaxing.

Ah, that's up around the Dallas Fort Worth area.
Hmm... might be a bit of a beast to get up there, but I might be able to do something. I know my friends are plotting a trip for Spring Break, and I think ours falls late this year.
It'd be great to meet up with people. It's hard to meet with you fuckers when you're all up on the East Coast having mouth orgies or whatever you do when you get together.
