@ Riku: I can't tell if you're implying that any laptop for that price can handle game and art software or that any laptop for that price will struggle with game and art software.
Just check around for some bargains, dude. Brand-wise I have a Toshiba laptop that was considered high-end about four years ago; It was on sale and cost me around £500. It can handle Illustrator and Photoshop easily enough but it doesn't really like running Minecraft on high graphics settings.
