AWKWARD ZOMBIE

So the store manager of the McDonalds I work at was given the Ray Kroc Award and a small party today. The award goes to the top 1% of store managers in the country. They got her out of the store by making up some bullshit errand she needed to do in the next town over, then everyone who works at the office came in and decorated and set up the party. When she came back, everyone clapped and cheered and she was given the award and a comically oversized check for $2500.

There was a display set up in the lobby covering her career at McDonalds with pictures of her. She started work there in the 80s.

McDonalds had hilarious crew uniforms in the 80s. Fancy banquet clothing in the 80s was also hilarious.
She had less weight on her face in the 80s.
Seeing her in a horrible multi-colored striped 80s McDonalds shirt was hilarious.

She deserved the award though. She's 39, worked for McDonalds since she was 16. She deserved something.

The house at the end of my road burned down early last year.

There is a mountain between my house and that house, so I wasn't sure if it was the mountain or the house. My bro and I walked over and WELP THERE GO THE NEIGHBORS.

The blaze was actually hella impressive. The roof collapsing was most exciting.

I drove by a house I've been driving by for years to see it a smoldering heap. Turns out it was a controlled destruction. Apparently an old lady left it to her son, but told him he couldn't get rid of the house till the last of the cats died. He took care of them for a couple of years before they finally passed on and he torched it ASAP.

Just finished Fallout 3, it was an amazing game.

But, yes, it was fairly small and from what I'd seen, old and rundown.
I think he has plans for the property the house was on.
