Wind outside is so very bad. It's a snowstorm outside and we can't even see out the windows.

Power went out last night due to the wind and the whole house trembles.

Whelp. I attempted to stay up all night since I had to leave for work at 3:30, but fell asleep around 1. Not as young as I used to be
Really tired today, but hey, overtime for the first time here, and I really needed that extra cheddar. Won't be enough to cover both rents still, but more cheddar is more cheddar.

Sometimes I do stuff like this when I'm afraid what I'm making can't be saved, or when I realize mom wants me to cook something, but forgets all of the ingredients (that's how I discovered my creamy chicken pepper sauce).

Most of the time though, I just fuck around and make things because I figure the combinations should work together.

Worst thing I probably made was pickles and rice (there was no redeeming flavor in that mess).

Still trying to work out a good way to mix tomato soup with things... besides making tomato noodle soup.

Tomato soup and Italian sausage.

I remember once in school I had to do a essay on An Inconvenient Truth and Al Gore but I couldn't because the school computers blocked out the word Gore because it thought Gore meant violence gore.

I also remember the only adult who thought this was completely ridiculous was this learning support teacher from Canada.

I'm sensitive to fennel in food, and italian sausage tends to have fuckloads of fennel in it because that gives it its definitive flavor, and of course that means that to make sure people know it's REALLY italian sausage, they need to put a fuckload of fennel in it.

But fennel turns my stomach in knots as soon as I eat anything with it, which is why I'm rustled whenever mom tries to get away with hiding it in something like spaghetti (which is one of my favorite foods), because I physically can't eat it and expect to keep it down.

I have grown to dislike Italian sausage. I used to love it when I was younger, but now my stomach just does not agree with it. Almost made me sick once.

Whoo, power went out again. I was worried a bit that my computer might suffer a bit from the sudden power drain but everything seems okay.

Power still seems to be unstable, might go out again later.

Do blackouts hold any significant threats to a computer turned on?

Huh, maybe this is why after I eat some sausage I end up imitating a hose with brown water the next day.

Fennel is much stronger than most people give it credit for. Flavorwise, it's as strong as sage, or perhaps even cayenne (in how it complete overpowers the taste in higher amounts), so using it in strict moderation is key to cooking with it.

However, premade sausage and other foods in the market live off of the philosophy of "BOLD FLAVORS" so over spicing is common.

At least I don't have my brother's allergy to MSG. That's a bitch to avoid.

Honestly, I've never had an Italian sausage with fennel in it. Even when I've gone to Italy. You've got some weird Italian sausage wherever you live. :P

We finally got a bit of snow here. A whopping 2 CM at the most. This year and last year have been really lack luster with snow.

Man it was cold as balls and overcast all day Christmas and didn't snow a single flake, what up with that?
