I'm the opposite, I'm fine at baking sweets and treats, but no good at actual meals.Granny Benson wrote:I'm pretty decent at cooking meat, but I can't bake anything. It always ends up doughy, or rock hard. Every now and then, I might make a good batch of something.

I squealed.During a 2012 questionnaire on Reddit, Genndy Tartakovsky stated that a new Powerpuff Girls series is underway. Ringo Starr of The Beatles fame revealed that he had recorded voices for a new character in the series for its relaunch planned for premiere in 2013.

meat, generally, is more forgiving than a lot of people think. as long as the meat isn't old, stewing in it's own juices, and the outside is cooked, you won't get sick from something that's even raw on the inside unless there's some kind of puncture/contamination issues.SaintCrazy wrote:Cooking meat in general is something I need to get better at.
Luckily I haven't given anyone food poisoning yet, but I figure if I like meat so much I should learn how to prepare it right.
Ground meat is a different kettle of fish though, and will easily get you sick if you fuck around with it.
Most meat-based illnesses that people encounter has to do with cross-contamination, especially when trying to make salads with meat in them.
I'm actually trying to get better at cooking up burgers right now, since I can't seem to make anything except silver dollar sized ones without it still being PANK in the center. It's fully cooked, but I really don't enjoy eating my burgers without it being thoroughly killed. Part of it's because it ends up contracting and bulging, but even when I account for that, the daisies thing keeps doing it. I've been trying some steaming methods, and they seem to be giving better results (and slowing down the crust-making on the outside that prevents me from cooking the burgers longer) so that's something.
Also, I'm hoping to post more recipes and tips for cooking things if people are interested. I'm not exactly sure what people are specifically hung up on, but I'll do my best to outline techniques and stuff if people need help. It helps that I now have a camera system that you can actually see the details in, and that isn't too cumbersome to use.

You can get worms theoretically, but that depends on the food safety standards around where you live.you won't get sick from something that's even raw on the inside unless there's some kind of puncture/contamination issues.

Have you tried turning down the cooking heat on your burgers, Kamak?
I mean, all hail the pancake pope!
