So I'm out of school now, which means I will probably be here a lot more often. I'm probably also going to try to learn or master some of the instruments I got as gifts or bought, and either became disinterested in or lost components for, including: One electric bass guitar, two ocarinas, and a Casio keyboard. I was also interested in learning a school-band sort of instrument, does anyone have any recommendations? I was thinking along the lines of a string instrument.

That would be more of an orchestra instrument, not band. The violin family and harp would be for orchestra. Most Jazz bands I see take electric guitar as well.

I point this out because "school band" often means marching/concert band and you barely see any strings there. They're pretty much all wind and percussion. I have seen a few electric basses show up in marching bands, but they're not too common. I don't think all schools allow them, either.

Oh, thanks for the clarification. I just knew there was a string-bass player in my school's concert band this year and thought it would be interesting to learn to play.

I feel so horrible right now.

Everyone in the RP thread went from admiring my posts to thinking that I'm a control freak or something.
Turns out I'm just too enthusiastic and really stupid.

-hugs Sax- It's okay. We all make mistakes sometimes. There's no use in beating yourself up over it. Just learn from it and don't repeat it.

Well I'm slowly getting over it.

Everybody loved my previous stuff, so I gave them what they wanted. My character's been by himself for the most part so I didn't know how interactions worked.
By the reactions I got, it was like I wrote a porn scene or something.

And make sure to read our posts thoroughly so they don't have to repeat themselves.

Yes, read the four posts in a row that say the exact same thing because they don't want to repeat themselves.

STOP THAT.
I had just gotten over it and in the mood to write witty dialogue.

I don't need you making me feel bad again.

Ran into a great salesman today. Step 1: Ooh, candy stall. Step 2: Here's a bag. "Wait..what?" Step 3: I'll just buy a quarter pound. Step 4: Wow that gummi snake weighs a lot. Step 5: What happened? I went to a candy store this morning and didn't buy anything. Step 6: Candy snake is gone.
