It was way too big to be a bedbug or a carpet bug.

Could it have been a young Jerusalem Cricket? (which are god daisies scary)

It was all one color and it didn't have a noticeable third segment. It only looked like it had two segments.

My mom thought that maybe it was a bug that could change colors, since it matched out carpet so perfectly. This bug mystery is making me sad ;~;

I think this forum needs some thread for actual debate, so, for example, debates about philosophy don't clog up the Confessions thread.

Wouldn't Taboo Topics work for discussions like that?

I thought that was just for NSFW/touchy subjects? And not really for a discussion about a particular subject? Every thread here seems more like either a forum game or a megathread, no real discussion or specific topics.

The taboo thread acts as a discussion thread already. I seriously doubt anyone is going to care if what you want to discuss is not quite a NSFW topic.

Depending on the subject there's also the current events thread and the science thread.

Taboo is okay for serious discussion - if your topic is something people are interested in sharing their views on you will get a response - if not you'll just have to move on.
