If you go to the Alligator Farm in St. Augustine you can get Slim Jim style snacks made with various odd meats. Alligator, etc. What did I eat...? Hmmm...I think it was Ostrich. It wasn't remarkable. Or maybe I skipped that in the gift shop. I did buy a giant gummy snake for my brother. I assume that some of the flavor is lost in the Slimjimmification.

Ostrich? My parents knew some people in California who farmed ostriches for meat. They said it was pretty good. I never got a chance to try it. :c

The restaurant I used to work at has a gator pit with like 200 live alligators. You can get your picture taken while holding one.

Nah they're all really small.

Although if you fall in there are about 200 of them, so size doesn't count for much in that situation.

I have a friend who is a minor health nut and has pretty much substituted roo meat for beef. So he does stuff like bolognese with roo mince.
