Today our physical education teacher told us about how you can learn to use your Qi to rebalance your inner energetic channels and all that bullshit.
It was rather disappointing, but she acted cool about it and didn't try too convince us at all.

I had a world religions class, and I have to say, the Chinese religions section was particularly interesting. I can't say I believe in Qi or the like, but it's remarkable what people are capable of through the power of belief.

Well, it sort of makes sense. Martial arts is about absolute control of the human body, so it's easy to see how they mistook that kind of control as some sort of mystical energy to channel.Exeres wrote:I had a world religions class, and I have to say, the Chinese religions section was particularly interesting. It was funny because I saw a documentary just yesterday about a woman who died in a personal growth seminary last summer. The woman who (still!) runs the center is either a consumed crook or batshit insane. She claims that the spirit of Melchizedek possesses her and makes up ridiculous rituals to extort cheddar. The woman died during a nine hour sweating session, covered in mud and wrapped in a plastic bag, with her head in a carboard box, while the "priestess" was shouting "Death is all! Death is truth! Death is God!" The audio recording is terrifying.Madican wrote:Well, it sort of makes sense.
