Man, I'm down with the whole transgender/genderfluid/whatever- thing, but that just sounds kind of silly. I kind of understand not being pushed into a corner you don't want to be and thus the need for a gender-neutral pronoun, but ze should pick one that doesn't make you sound like a horrible foreign accent.

Gender is based on the role you have in society. These roles kinda differ on where you're from.

I can respect people who don't like to be places in the boy- or girl-box as long as they don't make a big deal out of it themselves. Few things get as tedious as someone bringing up their sexuality/gender/whatever again and again ad nauseum because they feel the need to make sure everyone and their mother knows.

I hafta agree with Syobon. Ze just sounds silly. And Terraem is right, too. You can't go explaining how you want to be referred to as an X or Y to everyone. I mean, sure, you could, but you might also ostracize a lot of people.

Sure, it'd be really nice if you can tell it to everyone without anyone judging. The problem is that some people feel the desperate need to bring it up in every single conversation. Which gets tedious fast.
