did i just get involved in one of those stupid 'talk-quests' in real life
the kinds where you talk to one person, they give you a completely useless object that takes up inventory space and tell you to bring it to another person
so you run halfway across the world and then that person takes that object and gives you another object that you have to return
where's my gold and exp, man
i wanna level up

My old schools engineering and wood-shop department loved to send people on some strange quest like that, except it was more of the reverse. They sent you looking for an item from another teacher, usually starting with a board stretcher or a left handed wrench. Didn't work when they tried it on me, I just laughed.

My stepdad got a new Jeep recently. We were at a bar and one of his best friends was talking about how they're gonna go off-roading and shit. I interjected that I'd be going first, just to mess with him, and he starts going on about how they've been friends for decades and I've only know him for a few years. My response?
"Well, he hasn't been fucking your mom for those past few years, has he? I think I got you beat."
