Plain sit-ups are like the wussiest type of workout ever.

That's why they're called crunches now.

Aren't crunches actually bad for the body in the long run? I remember reading how they're starting to be discouraged since they strain the spine way too much when done repeatedly, which is exactly how everyone does them.

Wtf DOESN'T hurt ones back, nowadays.

Seems I can't even scoop ice cream without going "OH GOD I'M SO OLD AAA!"

There's a difference between scooping ice cream and forcibly yanking your vertebrae apart.

I do my sit-ups by keeping my back straight and trying to move my torso as vertical as possible. When working on you abs it's important to work on the abs on the side of your stomach too though. I usually do this by twisting my torso when doing regular sit-ups by bringing my left elbow to my right knee and vice-versa. This is probably not the best way to do it though, as I think it strains your back as well. daisies it, I used to know all these exercises (I had to do them because of back problems).

Stop reminding me I haven't done a decent work out in almost a year :/.
