Floridan summers are exactly like Maryland summers, but with more alligators. I'd still The Die.

I finally felt the difference humidity makes when I went to Jacksonville for a metal festival. Spent the weekend out in the sun, mid-90s all day, and barely broke a sweat. I was even wearing a bandana over my face. Came back home to technically cooler temperature, but the humidity was choking.
The A in this case stands for Armageddon. As in, Armageddon a boner because this plane has a fucking HOWITZER sticking out of it.

the difference in dry heat vs humidity is you can actually cool off in dry heat by sweating or putting like water on your head. in humid heat, the air is already so wet that it doesn't pull the sweat off of your skin, and if you dump water on you you're just wet. like it's cool only until the water warms up and then it just stays there being annoying lol. i would much rather deal with dry heat than humidity any day.

it works the same way in cold too. humid cold like...seeps through your layers and it's miserable. at least it doesn't ever really get that cold here.

Soooooo the bf and I may have just found a 52 inch LCD TV outside by the dumpster.

Obviously, it doesn't quite work, BUT we plugged it in and it seems to turn on and off intermittently. We did a little research and found out that it is actually a common problem on that model so we're thinking maybe we can get it fixed pretty easily? Even if we get someone to repair it for us, it would be much, much cheaper than buying a TV that size.

Of course, that's assuming there's no other problems with it, but I would totally believe someone throwing out a TV that had problems turning on without actually getting it repaired.

That's some epic loot, right there, even if you have to get it repaired.

Score one for the good guys! Wait, is that applicable here?

Ha, yea, my mom was going to throw out her old HD projection TV a couple years back because the convergence chip blew, causing the color layers to align incorrectly. Was about a 50 dollar fix, much cheaper than buying a new tv. People are too quick to throw things away.

Iceland had an amazing performance, wish I could say the same for Belgium. At least we shined in one game I guess (though even that was pretty sloppy at times).

I don't even have work tomorrow and I'm still dreading the end of the 3-day weekend. I guess now I don't have an excuse to not do the things I'm supposed to do :pseudo:

Also, we have a friend with some electrical experience who's gonna take a look at our dumpster-dive TV. We're gonna get everything we should need to repair it, soldering iron, replacement capacitors, etc. Hopefully that power board is the only thing wrong with it.
