What are you currently reading?

I didn't see one of these topics and even attempted a forum search to no avail so here goes.

What book(s) are you currently reading and why? Is it for school? For pleasure?

I am reading The Drawing of the Three which is the 2nd book in the Dark Tower series atm. Its been slow so I took a break and read the Zombie Survival guide and World War Z (which I highly recommend). I also recently read Rant by Chuck Palahniuk which was very interesting and good as well.

Terry Pratchett is excellent. He is hilarious, I've read every single Discworld book (the main story ones not ones like the Science of Discworld and what not) and I eagerly await the next one. Neil Gaiman is also great, I read American Gods and Anansi Boys. I am going to get his latest book next time I am home from college. Pratchett adn Gaiman also wrote a book together called Good Omens, I suggest looking into that if you haven't already. Gaiman is also known for his Sandman graphic novels which are up there with Watchmen in terms of popularity and quality.

Not reading anything right now or for a while in that matter, but there's a ton of books I've gotten halfway through and haven't finished.

Bleh House of Sand and Fog, didn't really like it that much, although I didn't really read it even though I should have for a class.

I am slowly, but surely, working my way through Pratchett's books. There are quite a few to go through, hah. It doesn't help that when I go book shopping, I tend to buy four or five at a time, all from different series, meaning I have even more books to work through before I can get to Pratchett.

I have all of Gaiman's books, including Good Omens (which I have read, loved, and loaned out to others who all ended up buying their own copies), but I haven't gotten to some of them just yet. Don't have Sandman, though; I'm hoping to acquire it in due time. I've never heard a single negative comment about that series.

I loved the movie so I decided to read the book. That's what I usually do. Did it with Harry Potter and Jurassic Park, tried to do it with Lord of the Rings and Pet Cemetary (which need to be added to my list). There are a few others I want to read, like the Bourne seires and Isaac Asimov's stuff.
