I hate these "_____ is better than _____" things because no matter what someone is going to be rustled off.
Anyway, I'd hardly say that the experiment from #1 has to do with how well one cooperates. Or at least, not in the traditional sense. Mostly because, in the end, you aren't cooperating with each other, as the other person has no idea what you are saying, and even you don't inform the other person has no way of knowing this. The problem is that you really have no reason not to accuse the other person, other than feeling bad for letting them rot in jail. If anything, the experiment has to do with how much you trust the other person, and whether or not you are willing to take advantage of them if you do.
