Always thought you had to be a genius to teach yourself playing anything.
But it might be better to teach it myself, since I always hated reading notes. Music is free yo (No but really,
But if used guitars are really that cheap, I might have a look when we have some cheddar left.
well if you know the basics for any instrument, it's easy to teach yourself another. and it's not hard to teach yourself from nothing, the only thing you need to do is practice diligently. music isn't about reading sheet music, lots of musicians like thom yorke don't know how and they're still great.

Tuxedo Mask's cousin plays the drums, some guitar, and is re-teaching herself to play the piano. She learned how to play a few notes as a child but nothing more. She knows how to read sheet music though so she's able to teach herself that way.
Only instrument I ever played was a recorder in 3rd grade. Some years later I re-teached it to myself since I still had the books, but since it was only something I thought up for christmas, I forgot it soon after again. So the only notes I ever saw and played were very easy ones. And flutes are stupid (Not that I don't like how they sound, I hate playing one)
Hah, I can't read music for crap. But as long as someone just sings it once, I can catch on pretty well.
Then again, I sing instead of playing instruments, so maybe it's a bit different. I used to be able to read music when I was in elementary school but not anymore.

This. And I'm also jealous of people beeing able to play it.
My skills at the piano are nothing to be envious of hahaha, I only started 2 1/2 months ago. I've been making good progress though and it's a lot of fun, maybe I'll record myself playing something in the near future.
