I'm sorry, but if I was WCA, one person bitching about me wouldn't really make me feel "fucked over". She is perfectly capable of posting herself if she even actually at all feels obligated to by Oracle's posts, which I don't believe she does, because if she actually felt deeply hurt by us, I don't see why she'd stick around.
However I'm not venting. I'm saying that this is going too far. Everyone is entitled to vent, yes, but blatantly harassing another member is too much. There are HEALTHIER WAYS TO DO SO. And I offered her suggestions that might help. I say this because it will probably backlash against her.
And none of us are WCA. I'm not, you're not, no one except her. Hell she hasn't been online since this started going downhill. That doesn't meant that we shouldn't just sit back and watch the sparks fly. I guess if I lived in the 40's and saw Jews get lined up and shot I just shouldn't say anything because they would just stand up for themselves, right?
The venting was applying to Oracle, but "get over it" was to everyone. Oracle vented but then kept coming back to defend herself even though she doesn't have to. And everyone else keeps jumping on her for saying she hates someone.
I'm not going to lie and say I love WCA, but I don't hate her. I haven't seen whatever posts she's made to piss people off again besides "I'm still here, just lurking", but her posts in the past were annoying to me. For the time being, I'm going to investigate this further to see what WCA has done/if Oracle has actually done anything to WCA besides posting about her dislike of her here, which no, I don't think is blatantly harrassing no matter how vulgar or graphic she becomes to describe her hate. I would think she was blatantly harrassing WCA if Oracle went after her every time she posted, but as I said, I haven't seen that and am going to investigate it.
I don't think any sparks would have started flying though if everyone had just ignored Oracle's rant, or Oracle just ignored the people who argued with her. As I said, WCA has never made herself out to be the type who actually takes anything of what we say to heart. She might be annoying, yes, but she hasn't done anything to imply she dwells on any of the anger she receives from some people. Unless a long time ago I missed a post where WCA said she takes everything we say to heart and it's killing her inside, I see no way defending her before you know if she actually wants to be defended is comparable to people being lined up and shot.
