Imagine this, but replace a bloody stump where that paw is. It's a long story.

See, my favorite pet in the whole wide world is my beagle, Tommy. He doesn't exactly get along with the cats at all. He's tried to kill them off three or four times now.

We keep our cats in the barn at the back of our property; Tommy and most of the other pets live by and in the house. We have five cats in there- Grey, the big girl cat who doesn't have a paw now, and four boy kittens who stay in there with her. She's not their mom, but she acts like it.

Today, my sister looked over from the house to see the barn door wide open. Tommy was nowhere to be seen. So I called Tommy back, and he ran up to me, and his muzzle is just caked in blood. My mom yelled at him and tied him up, then we followed my big sis to the barn.

There was also blood splattered on the front of the door, coming from the undercrack. We looked inside, and the kittens were up in the raftors and Grey was huddled in a corner, covered in dog slobber. It seems that when Tommy was trying to get in, she put the kittens in a safe place and tried to fend off my dog. When swiping him, I guess Tommy just... Bit down.

Tommy ate my cat's paw. Anyway, we put Grey inside the house to take care of her, and now she's lying down. She seems to be okay, but she's not the problem. It's Tommy I'm worried about. My parents are now adamant about sending him to an animal shelter by the end of the week. He won't last that long. With this new incident, and his long history of escaping, there's no way he'll be adopted. He'll be put down there.

So, yeah. My favorite dog is going on Death Row, and my cat doesn't have a paw anymore. I'm really depressed now. ;-;

Try and convince your parents to give your dog another chance. One week. It would also be a good idea to supervise him. As for your cat, that's really quite terrible, but there really isn't anything that can be done.

Most animals are too stupid (seriously) to know when they've done something wrong.

The way Facebook's acting...

All I can think of is talking with your parents about getting the cat treatment (obviously), and giving up Grey and her kittens instead of giving up the dog.

If you give up Grey, she has a chance of going to good family who won't have a dog they need to keep her seperate from.

Kittens are always immediately snatched up from shelters, so if anything it would be strange if they WEREN'T adopted.

I want to say I feel sorry for your dog, but... I don't. I don't know the dog and besides knowing you care about it, all I know is the dog seemingly hated the cats for no reason, and has crippled a cat that was just trying to defend kittens. I want to feel pity for it because it might be put down, but I can't. If one of my dogs did that, my first choice would be to try to reform the dog so it wasn't a threat to the other animals. If that failed, I would willingly let my dog be put down before I'd keep it and risk it hurting something else... I'm sorry.

One of my friends recently told me about his dog that attacked a Pomeranian and threw it around like a doll it was terrible
