I fucking hate the ridiculous lag that hits me for no reason playing TF2. I don't whats causing it and I have NOTHING running in my background to cause it. It'll happen no matter what server I'm in.

Is it a bad thing when I looked it up, I said "That sounds like a pretty rational fear to me..."?

Have you already tried adjusting your settings in game?

Everything at it's lowest, and the lag happens at random times. Hell, it even happened when I was running around in the Dev. Commentary thing.

No idea what that is then. Unless others come up and say they're encountering the same problem, I'm going to assume something's up with your computer.

"Things you should never say in public"!
Hey, it's true, and Bacon mentioned L4D porn which you don't exactly just stumble over when browsing the interwebs
Unless you search for L4D pics on DA with safesearch off
I searched 'left 4 dead witch' and... got a lot of porn.
So unhygienic 8(

I can't decide wether to drive to my parents over christmas or not. The weather forecast is really bad (snow+rain, frozen streets), and the second christmas day, the sun comes out again and the weather gets better.
So, basically, I am concerned about our safety, but yet I don't want to be the party pooper because everyone is expecting us to come over, specially my grandmothers.
Drive there on christmas or rather at sylvestre uuuuuurg

If it's dangerous, I'd say don't go.

Phone them and talk to them about how you don't feel comfortable driving on these roads right now?
If they're not understanding, just drive really carefully. You can tell them to fuck off without actually telling them to fuck off too by taking an even sweeter time getting there than you would even when driving slowly and carefully.
If they're understanding, you get to go when hopefully the weather will be better. If not, you can just once again drive slowly and carefully.
I wouldn't just stay home though, unless the weather becomes even worse and it's like you could be snowed in.

Well the plan was driving there today, but my father called me on sunday, telling me that we probably should drive there a day later when the weather keeps beeing bad. So after seeing the weather forecast we decided to drive there tomorrow. Called my mom after the forecast, and she already sounded angry. I'd like to call them today and talk with them about it, but they are both at work and will come back in at least 3 hours (so 11 pm).
I know we can always drive a little slower, but the way to them is already 7 hours long on good weather. Also I'm more concerned about getting into a traffic jam and having to stay several hours in the cold.
And christmas is... well... HOLY SHIT BIGGEST EVENT IN THE FAMILY YOU BETTER BE THERE YOU CUNT

Can't you take the train or something?

We could, but many trains are not driving because of the weather, and even if we could get a train, we have to get lucky to get tickets this late for tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, and we also would need to pay a big fee because of the short time buy, so that would be a good 300+ euros.

Oh, I didn't even think of the cold. I was thinking more of just the ice.
Yeah, unless you took extra jackets/blankets, getting stuck or caught in a traffic jam would be really bad. Or even just driving there slowly if it's that cold, for that long, could also be really bad... this is quite the dilemna.
Would everyone be horribly upset with you if you waited another day? Then you'd have no choice but to go even if the weather hadn't brightened up, but would risking going now be the better choice? I'm not sure. From the sounds of things your mom sounds like the type that'll get really bitchy with you even if it'd be safer to wait another day.
