Our apartment is so retarded ugh.

We had the heat cranked right up but it was freezing inside. We put some plastic sealing over the windows. THE TEMPERATURE IMMEDIATELY WENT FROM BELOW 15 DEGREES TO OVER 25. IT IS SO FUCKING HOT NOW EVEN IF I LAZE AROUND NAKED I'M SWEATING HORRIBLY. And we only applied the plastic a day ago - this is how badly the temperature jumped.

We now have proof the windows need to be replaced. Not only is the sudden jump in heat proof (we've had to turn the temperature RIGHT DOWN now because it is that hot with the plastic seal over the windows), but even just looking at the plastic is proof.

The plastic is attached around the window. Think of like a double-panned window. The plastic is here | and the glass is here |. Normally, windows give off a little bit of a breeze. This is normal. However, if the windows weren't in need of replacing, the plastic should still be like this |, as it was when we attached it. The plastic does not change shape after being attached - it will remain like this | if a window isn't letting in too much of a breeze. A regular draft from a window wouldn't make it bubble, like this (. However, this is how it currently looks: plastic ( window |. THAT is how bad of a breeze is hitting the plastic. THAT is how come our apartment was freezing cold even though we had the heat cranked up. And THAT is why, now that the plastic is keeping the cold air from getting into our apartment, it is ridiculously hot in here.

However, they have an excuse. "The windows are getting replaced in two years." WELL AIN'T THAT DANDY! That sure makes sense why we have talked to our neighbours, who have also complained their apartments are/were below freezing. Those that followed our lead and applied the plastic seal are also now dealing with the ridiculous heat. Those that have not sealed the windows are still dealing with being able to see their breath in their own apartments. So instead of fixing the windows for an entire floor of people that have reported the freezing temperature in their apartment, they say they can't do anything until two years from now and tell us to use our own cheddar to buy a seal ourselves in the meantime.

Did I mention as I was applying the plastic seal in our bedroom window, I noticed how around the ENTIRE WINDOW there is a large crack which, if you hold your hand over it, you can feel the wind from outside hitting your hand? Yeah. Awesome. I can guess why the curtains were kept closed when we looked at the apartment now.

We were also supposed to get new appliances and new floors. We have been living here since Nov. 28 and we have only gotten one appliance out of the three we need - a dishwasher which THEY STILL HAVEN'T EVEN INSTALLED. Which is in our contract they would. They simply wheeled it in a few weeks ago, and it's been sitting there ever since. When we ask about it, they say they're really busy and just don't know when they'll have time to get someone to install it for us.

In the meantime, the dishwasher that IS hooked up is broken. The store we have is tempermental - the burners go white hot when you turn the heat up any higher than medium, but if it's set any lower than that, it doesn't get hot at all. I've tried to make dinner on the stove, setting the temperature at 5 (with the maxium being 10). 10 minutes later, the butter I was trying to melt STILL WASN'T MELTED. I turned it up to 6 and in less than a minute, the butter was not only melted, but burnt. I had to turn off the stove and clean the pan. We ended up having frozen dinners made in the microwave. Our fridge works, but the freezer is tiny. And in case it wasn't obvious, we're kind of reliant on frozen dinners right now. That or we eat things out of the fridge, like sandwiches and oranges. But there's only so much we can do - especially when Tuxedo Mask is allergic to wheat. There's a lot of stuff I can't make for him, especially without a working stove. We need a bigger freezer if we can't have a properly working stove. We're still waiting on both to even arrive - let alone be installed.

The floors are installed, but they're shit. If this was professionally done, it is most definitely a rushed job. I have walked between the kitchen and living room, and encountered a problem. The living room has fake wood floors (they're laminate). The kitchen also has laminate, but since they're different patterns, there is a border seperating them. When I stepped on the border, not only did it bang on the floor because it wasn't screwed down tight, but one of the screws ACTUALLY POPPED OUT because it wasn't even screwed in. I luckily didn't stab myself in the foot with the screw that popped out, but we've looked closely at the other borders. They're all like this. And it's total bullshit.

The landlords are nice, but this is ridiculous...

Because we agreed to move in and signed the contract under the obligation the appliances would arrive and be installed, we can't really do much to bitch about that unless they say they refuse to install it. Then we can show the contract to the people that control things like the tenant act and housing, and get them in shit.

But for now, they're still saying they WILL install our appliances... they just have no garantee when.

They should give you a date. Even a rough estimate would do because at least you can plan to be home have everything ready ect.

Yeah. :/ I think I had gone to do laundry when they were dropping off the dish washer or something - they were about to just leave it in the hall since no one had been there to open the door. I caught them before they left though and that's when they wheeled it in and just left it there.

Tuxedo Mask keeps trying to use it as a table for the time being but I keep shooing him away because I don't want to risk doing anything that will give them the chance to go "lol u hav 2 install it urself now"

Thats terrible. If they just left it ther it could have been robbed. (Though who would rob a dryer?)

Push them for a date. If they don't give you a date, pull up the contract. If they don't keep the date, pull up the contract.

Thank you.

I was walking home from school today and this kid rolls past on his bike, I glance at him and he asks "Whatchu looking at?"

I simply continue walking and he turns around and asks again, I'm getting a little ticked at this point but still keep walking. Then he asks if I want to scrap, I simply ask him who he was and why the hell he was pestering me, seconds later, he kicks my posterior. Naturally I'm rustled and I turn around and ask his age, he said he was 14 (Little punk) so I tell him to have intercourse with himself, he drops his bike and punches my face, and more punches and rock are thrown, eventually I'm sick and tired of the little asshole (Mostly tired because I honestly couldn't catch him, for someone who wanted to fight me so badly, he ran alot.) so I picked up my backpack, we both sent grudge filled birds at each other and went seperate ways.

Asshole 8th graders, think they're so bad because they're the kings of middle school, well sit through half a freshman year punk, then you'll see who's king!

Aren't you 14 yourself?
Anyways, you should've stolen his bike when he ran away, this would've rustled him more.

Nah, I should've kicked it, I'm not stealing anything.

Besides, I'm 15 now, and this kid was on the short side.

I just WANT to see his booty on my driveway, just so I can yell at him.

When someone kicks you in the butt you grab them, throw them down and kick them in the stomach or back a few times and then get down, pin them down and scream in their ear

I had a similar encounter at a trainstation, except the kid attempted to hurl me onto the tracks.

I overpowered him and in a few seconds he was lying on the platform floor and I had my hands gripped firmly around his neck.
