hey man, look- it's okay that if you believe something, thats fine, but i don't think it's too cool to rip on people's beliefs, that's just not cool- all i was saying is that i dont find evolution logical to me, theres just too low of a chance that couldve happened- someone or something making us all is the only way i could see creation could have happened, and if your not okay with my religion, which is probably one of the biggest believed things in the world, then i'm sorry for you.DoNotDelete wrote:

That old chestnut is a favourite isn't it?
Shame that a construct like a pencil (a non-dynamic object) is completely different to an organism like a bacteria (a dynamic object).
But yeah, I'm not going there... this is just retarded.

I know how it got there!Zang wrote:please don't insult religions, there are proofs of God everywhere, just look around you. I don't see any real proofs of evolution, but like i said- it's a matter of faith, i believe in God, and i wonder sometimes why others don't- just looking at the sky and at the beautiful world around us...Not not Trygve wrote:There are more proofs to evolution than to the zero proofs of God.Zang wrote: unless i'm wrong, i meant i believe evolution is like, in scientology
evolution is a theory, but when you focus on it in a school, and act like that is how we really came to be, it's saying all religions are wrong, so it shouldn't be focused on in schools if it's a matter of faith
if you see a pencil laying in the floor, how did it get there?
A. someone put it there
B. it evovled from dust molecules that happened to float together and magically form into a pencil
honestly can we just leave it there? people get offensive about this stuff....

I don't think you'll find somebody more at ease with their own, and everybody else's religions, sexual orientations, or whatever, than I.Zang wrote:hey man, look- it's okay that if you believe something, thats fine, but i don't think it's too cool to rip on people's beliefs, that's just not cool- all i was saying is that i dont find evolution logical to me, theres just too low of a chance that couldve happened- someone or something making us all is the only way i could see creation could have happened, and if your not okay with my religion, which is probably one of the biggest believed things in the world, then i'm sorry for you.
It's just the 'intelligent design' argument comes up all the time and it's hardly water-tight.
Yeah, stopping now.

GUYS, ENOUGH! Firstly, evolution is part of the FUNDAMENTALS of Biology! It is a part of science, not a 'matter of faith'! And while science isn't infallible, you can't just say "I don't believe in X but I'm not going to explain why, other than that I don't want to believe in it" and expect people to respect that!
Secondly, a theory in regards to science is NOT the same as a theory in formal language! When its in regards to science, it means that it has so far been proven to be 100% true, but that a future revelation may well prove it to be false.
Edit: oh, wait, you already did. I guess I took too long making this post...

Your religion is certainly not one of the biggest believed things in the world! I don't know what religion you are, but neither Catholicism, Islam, not Judaism believe evolution is rubbish, and if you're saying "God" then you're certainly not a polytheist! I'd fairly confidently say you're Protestant, actually.Zang wrote:my religion, which is probably one of the biggest believed things in the world, then i'm sorry for you.
