That's the watered down response. My first draft reflected the full extent of my rage at this intertard.DoNotDelete over at dA wrote:Two things. Some cockfag over at dA wrote:2 things.DoNotDelete over at dA wrote:Land Locked
1- In the Manga, Gold has Typhlosion, which means Silver (the red-head kid) has Feraligator (however if you chose CHickorita in the game it's a different story).
2- Silver actually becomes a nice guy by the end of the story; heck, he's almost your friend (lil' odd o-o)
Anyway the Lapras thing made me seriously LOL.
One: This comic is an observation of things that occur in-game, and does not intend to stay true to any Pokemon story canon that you may know of.
Two: The lead character in this comic is clearly an original trainer (not Gold) so I don't know why you thought this comic was anything to do with anything on-canon anyway.
I'm glad you got a laugh out of this comic, but don't expect all Pokemon fan-art/fan-comics to follow any kind of story canon. Especially anything I do.

I know. Some people don't seem to be able to grasp the multiple realities/storylines/non-canon thing.Decker wrote:Who fucking cares about the manga you are doing a comic about the gameSome cockfag over at dA wrote:2 things.
1- In the Manga,
And in the game the enemy-guy was a thief originally who abused his pokemon if he lost a battle
I say they don't watch enough Star Trek.

Dawn of War II. The last stand.
Picture this: two Orks and one Eldar. One Ork was a tank: he had ridiculously high health, but did hardly any damage (melee), but whenever he hit someone, he gained energy, which he was able to heal and pass energy on to us. The other ork was a relatively new guy, only level 2, but knew what he was doing: he had a long-range gun, rather powerful, y'know the standard, but was also really vulnerable, but he also had a teleporter pak so he could teleport rapidly. And I was the Eldar: REALLY vulnerable and would go down like a flea if properly attacked, but could confuse enemies (temporarily turn them on their own side), as well as being able to make the whole team invisible as well as teleport them away when needed.
In other words, it was a team that worked VERY well together at surviving!
But it had utterly horrible offensive capabilities! The main strategy was that I confuse the opponents and teleport us out to let the opponents fight amongst themselves, the melee ork gets energy to recharge me with, and the ranged ork mows down any opponents that didn't stop to get in the confusion fight.
So it took AGES to do. But we weren't in any particularly grave danger; despite only one of us being able to weather attacks, we all had a way to revive each other if the others fell; I could group teleport to a corpse and group teleport it out with me, the ranged ork had the instant teleportation thing, and the melee ork was strong enough to be able to just run to our corpses!
So after a VERY long time fighting our way up, we finally reached Wave 16. Y'know, the really hard one where you fight doppelgangers of yourselves, with the same abilities, but with far better attributes. The one advantage we did have is that they couldn't use the confuse ability, while we could.
Anyway, this one simply WAS NOT ENDING! Whenever we got an opponent down, either one of their allies would revive them near-instantly, and while confusion does prevent them from being able to revive a fallen comrade, it only works on one opponent at a time. Oh yeah, and one of the orks had Mega-Rumblah, which stuns pretty much everyone nearby, which only served to drag things out for longer! In hindsight, it probably could've gone a LOT quicker had I made better use of my confusion spells, but I never managed to properly survive on this wave, I never passed it before.
So after loads and loads of fighting, we eventually managed to get them separated! And in the process, absolutely GANG UP on the enemy shooter ork! Yeah, he didn't survive. But because they were all spaced apart, it meant I could use my confusion on the next target (the doppelganger of me) and, again, absolutely BUTCHER her! Spellcasting Eldar that took as little protection as possible simply do not last under pressure!
So that left just the big melee ork left. Which you'd think would be easy, considering that it's 3 against 1, and because I regenerated enough mana to use Confuse faster than the actual effect would wear off, he couldn't revive anyone.
You'd think that.
Put it this way: d'you remember earlier when I said that the melee ork was REALLY durable? And do you recall where I said we had crap-all offensive capabilities, and relied more on confusion spells to deal the damage? And did you know that confusion spells can't pit a team against itself if there's only one person on the opposing team?
Yeah...
In fact, we weren't even able to DAMAGE it because it regenerated health faster than we could hurt it! It wasn't until I went into melee with it too instead of hanging back confusing it that we could actually do something! So that made it go on for even LONGER!
Oh yeah, and the reason I'm rustled off?
Next wave. New highest wave. And the third last in the entire challenge. Facing off against a Tyranid swarm.
At the very start, my game lags and I amn't able to teleport us out of the very middle of the arena.
Take a wiiiild guess as to what happened next!
