Yeah I know, I'm just very shy when I get into a new community and when it comes to show around people what I can do, and both combined... oh snap. Specially when I'm still a rookie, and even specially when it's to such hardcore people (in a positive way, mind you).
And to contribute something on topic: I have this disgusting taste in my mouth all day now, neither toothbrushing nor eating something makes it go away. And for some reason it keeps me thirsty all the time.

@Tatzel, That I can understand. If you need to take time before lettingyour art be up for all to see, i can totally see how that might be frightening. So only do it if you want to and when you're ready. :]
A 15 year old said she was afraid to post on CA because she thought they would insult her for not being good but she was surprised got the exact opposite. They gave her a warm welcome and some good advice.
Yes, like I said earlier, it's a scary thought to let people better than you be honest about what they think of you, but all in all, it's honestly the best way to improve. Some might be harsh but I'm sure it's just them being honest about it.
They know that every artist has to start somewhere, and every artist started out drawing badly. They won't insult you for being at a level they themselves once were at.
But I don't want to force you into it. Lurk for awhile, learn their rules and try studying more about art from the advice they give to others. Try this until you feel comfortable enough to post your art up. :]
I won't lie you might possibly meet some criticizers that will be harsh with it, but from what I've seen, the majority of them, at least the ones who have something good to say, won't rip you a new one and make you feel terrible about yourself and your art.Avengifier wrote:I know I'm a page late but... Concept Art seems kind of harsh. I'd love to post some stuff up there to get advice, but I have a feeling they'd reject my art so hard I wouldn't even know what hit me. I'm just starting out and I don't feel that they're so friendly.

Acne medication pisses me off.
My face is still on fire from that. It either doesn't work, or burns like hell. Or all of the above. Raaaage.

Aww, thanks for filling me in Yanimae. I'm eager to improve so I can accept that it's going to be hard to hear criticism sometimes. I guess I just have to suck it up and not let what they might say get to me so much.Tall-Hatted Yanimae wrote: I won't lie you might possibly meet some criticizers that will be harsh with it, but from what I've seen, the majority of them, at least the ones who have something good to say, won't rip you a new one and make you feel terrible about yourself and your art.

Exactly. It's not meant for you to take personally nor is it an insult at you. It's meant to help you improve and to be constructive. :]Avengifier wrote: Aww, thanks for filling me in Yanimae.
