Things that piss you off
Let me know if you need anything, Oracle. My grandfather passed away a couple years ago. He also had prostate cancer.
Just be sure to keep all the good times close in your heart. At the funeral all my family laughed and told stories and celebrated his life. It was beautiful, and I learned so many new things about the man my grandfather was. So even if he's gone, he's still there in everyone's hearts, and there's always more to learn.

We didn't have a funeral, we had a Celebration of his Life at the nearest American Legion.Torizo wrote:Let me know if you need anything, Oracle. My grandfather passed away a couple years ago. He also had prostate cancer.

It was pretty cool to see a WHOLE BUNCH of his war buddies come from across the country to pay their respects and share old stories.
It was actually pretty daisies uplifting.
Also, we made a slideshow using photos of him from throughout his life.
We realized that my cousin looks exactly like Grandpa when Grandpa was my cousin's age.
And so genetics have come Full Circle. hehe.
Also, on the topic of Bomb Threats
My school in Sherwood got several a year.
Usually on Finals Days.
And it was school policy that if a bomb threat seemed serious enough, the school had to be evacuated and canceled.
I don't know what those assholes were thinking.
"Hurr hurr if we make a bomb threat today, we won't have to do today's finals!"
Nevermind that finals are spread out over 2 days, so you can have elongated class times for the periods the finals are in, Periods 2 and 4 one day, 1, 3, and 5 the next.
The bomb threat made all the finals be in ONE DAY, with no extra time.
Fucktards.

That is EXACTLY my issue with my Dad.Valbrandur wrote:Yeah mom, whine at me for being forgetful.
I totally don't want to be able to remember things which may help me.
I totally want to forget things I don't want to forget.
Uuuugh.
He's always like "You don't forget, you just don't want to remember!"
And i'm like "Of COURSE I wanted to forget about something the my future could depend on! That makes SO MUCH FUCKING SENSE."

My stepdad always used to accuse me of "conveniently" forgetting to do important things and then remembering to do things that benefit me, like charging my phone or whatever random example he could think of on the spot. Which was not true. I always forgot to charge my phone/DS/whatever, I'd mean to draw something and then forget, I'd mean to go somewhere and then forget, blah blah blah

Exactly this.
My dad still tries to use the same example he used when I was 11
"You can remember all the pokeymans, but not [blah blah blah]"
The funny thing was, even when there was only 151, i still only remembered the portion of pokemon i liked. Which was maybe 30-50.
And now i'm like "wait how long has this pokemon been here"

Why is it that every time I have a school project due I get the flakiest partner ever. Just ONCE I would like to have someone that replys to my e-mailed questions. I'm trying to fucking coordinate here.
I sure hope we have copies of our handout for the class tomorrow and an activity to do, because if not those were all my partner's responsibilities.

Chekt, do you have any pets? If not, check under your bed and the corners of your closet for evidence of mice/bats/rats.
Explotaro: Try taking a hot shower and sort of massaging your nose where the congestion is the most, and after that, LIGHTLY blow your nose whenever it's running. Avoid sucking it back up. All that will do is keep the congestion there and make your throat raw as well. If that doesn't work, try finding something spicy to eat, just to initially flush everything out for a start.
Avengifier: Oh my goodness, I know so much what you're talking about. Unfortunately, all you can do is hope that they do what they're supposed to (and if you have enough time, maybe set something up as a backup), and talk to the teacher when it all goes to shit.
