Ehhhh, I don't know why people say that but I've never seen any evidence for that claim. It's like telling a child who's being bullied that they're just jealous.
I'm not saying that this is true for all sexuality-bashers or bullies, but for a percentage it may be true.

What if they're genuinely allergic or something :< I have to stop breathing around the smokers at my school because I'll lapse into a coughing fit and not be able to stop for several minutes. But I'm not completely rude about it; I at least try to walk a little ways away before I start dying.
It was awful at my school last year because they just passed a "no on-campus smoking" law thing here so people had to go to these designated smoking areas to smoke. These areas were in the parking lots away from the main walkways but they insisted on converging in the middle of the fucking walkway so everyone had to pass through their cloud to get to classes as some kind of stupid protest or something. Then they'd get rustled when people would say things or cough or whatever. Not a fun experience.

Also, cigarette smoke does trigger some sort of involuntary gag reaction with me, even if it is the faintest whiff. Which sucks at me school because every set of doors are packed with annoying hipsters and gangsta kids playing guitars, and smoking between classes. I have to stop breathing when I exit a building between classes.

I'm anti-smoking, but I don't hurt those people's feelings. They have an ADDICTION, so it's not like they can help it. And if they are smoking in the correct places, no one should care. Making fun of smokers is like making fun of someone who needs an inhaler.
Personally, I lost too many people to drugs and drinking, which is why I don't do any non medical drugs/drinking. As I always say, to each his own.

I have no idea, but it's gone off pretty much every day since I got here. The one this morning was a drill, so fair dos. Just as I'm heading off back to sleep, the bloody thing goes off again. >_>
