You know they modified the rules right? Originally it only had one winner. Apparently the shitstorm people made, caused them to change the contest rules to two winners, "One male and one female".

Admittedly, it's not entirely IGN's fault in the first place. District 9 are who set up the prize, IGN was just hosting it. I suspect, though it is only a guess, that IGN was getting a ton of shitstorm e-mails over it, and they told District 9 that they needed to make it gender neutral RIGHT FUCKING NOW.

In fact, prior to the change, IGN sent out the following e-mail reply to anyone who e-mailed them about the contest...
