Not unless the student picks a dead-end major, like arts or such.

Hey, you should see what us science majors say about art/comm majors.
Imagination is more important than knowledge.

Doesn't really matter here. Our school is, like, 90% art students. :pseudo:

Go shoot me then because art is the thing I'm good at.

And I don't mean drawing, i mean theatre, sculpture and painting, that kind of stuff.

Why is it that the only people who know what a Student Loan is are the people who don't need it?
Get loaned $50,000

Pay back $20,000

I'm torn between taking an art-ish degree, or an engineering degree.

And this thread ain't making it any easier.
No, wait, ignore that.

I just mean its because its a lot easier than science classes (at least comm classes are). You do what you love and the cheddar follows.

Engineering is more useful in a real world situation where youll need to find a career to support yourself, but art may be more interesting/fun. Its up to you, but now that you are in college or approaching it, its time to start thinking about the future and not what you like but what you like to do and wouldnt mind doing for a living.

Art classes are easier? Have you ever even taken a college-level art class? It's no walk in the park, let me tell you. While they may not have complicated formulas or need all-nighters to study, they are still difficult.

You can support yourself in the arts. If you couldn't, no one would take them.

It's a very specific degree at the University of Abertay. It's a 'World Renowned' Computer game design course. There's severeal different routes to take - concept art, final art, 3d modeling, motion capture etc.
I'd probably go for concept art and level design. I'm quite good at character design too.
The only problem is that I fear it's too specific, because even though it increases my chances of entering that particular profession, it tightens my horizons otherwise.

And if I did take the engineering route, I'm not to sure what I'd do with it. I love physics and finding out how things work, but...
...I'm not too sure how I'd want to use it later on in life.
No, wait, ignore that.
