But... no! I mean, I can understand the whole class thing, if you meant relative to all classes as a whole. But the average IQ throughout the country? That.... that's, by the very definition of IQ, completely impossible! The average IQ must always remain at 100!


And I know I might seem over-reacting, but the sheer amount of people who regularly show they do not know what IQ actually is is honestly astounding!

The average IQ in a country can drop relative to the average IQ in the world. Or the point that is defined as 100 can be representing a lower intelligence than it used to, which would be considered a decline in IQ. Either way, it's definitely not impossible.

IQ is defined by an average of 100 with a Standard Deviation of 15 on the Wechsler and Stanford-Binet scale! Image

Oh Standard Deviations, how fun thou are.

I know there is at least one test which doesn't define IQ with the 100 average, 15 standard deviation... but for the life of me I can't remember it's name.

I had to stop watching somebody's journals on dA (I kinda just figured out I can choose to get notifications about artwork, but not journals). This person's artwork isn't bad, but they make a journal entry EVERY DAY, and it's always "Oh, woe is me, my life is so hard, I'm so depressed."

Pisses me off how self-absorbed some people are.

I think it's better I stop receiving these journals before I snap and say something along the lines of...

"SHUT THE HELL UP DAMMIT! THIS IS NOTHING! YOUR LIFE IS FINE!"

"STOP WHINING ALREADY BEFORE I HIT YOU OR SOMETHING!"


The artist/whiner I'm talking about isn't anybody here so don't worry.

The fact my laptop keeps bluescreening. I need to get it fixed but the guys that are supposed to repair it are busy so I cant do it till probably tomorrow.

I know what you're talking about. Some people just won't shut up about their problems and they want all the attention in the world, like that would make it better.
