I'm too lazy to check to see if I mentioned this before.

For some reason, any time a customer needs someone for whatever department in which they are shopping (or intending to, anyway), and they can't find them, or if there aren't enough cashiers to prevent them going through self check (which I always find to be faster), they act like it's entirely my fault.

I should start pointing out that I am not in charge of scheduling or hiring, and I have never been in a management position, and that up until the middle of July, I was at the BOTTOM of the ladder.

Also, the cross-dresser who frequents the store was up here last night. Another associate and I loaded a heavy generator into his car, and the whole time I'm thinking this guy doesn't know how to walk in heels. Then I remember that most of the women I've seen in heels don't know either.

It was bugging the hell out of me. Not that he was wearing heels, but that he was walking heel first in those things, meaning he, and really everyone else I've seen, was placing the heel down before the toe.

This is incorrect. Heels are designed to shorten the stride, something about it not being feminine to have a long stride, and you walk in such a manner that you place the heel down at the same time as the toe, like you're just walking on your toes.

Also, when you walk heel first in those kinds of shoes and you step on something like a pebble (or a screw or nail, around here), you will be lucky if you don't roll your ankle.

Is it weird that I know that, when I've never worn (or intended to) heels?

but you also can't not move your foot too though or else you look like a chicken (which is how most girls around i see walk....disastrous.) it really is an art.

the closest thing i had to an adventure in the workplace is a 12 hour long panic attack over being pressured to do something for someone i wasn't comfortable with but it's ok now i got out of it

I'M A COWARD

I had an interview at the local school district today. The guy interviewing me used to be the principal at my high school while I was there, so he basically went "Hey, I know you! What have you been up to lately? So we need you to get a fingerprint scan and a TB test and then we'll get you started kthxbai"

That's cool. What will you be doing?

I just put in (not to be confused with putting out) for a transfer yesterday. Ran into someone who used to work at my store. Also met the manager of that store. He seemed alright. Though I bet anyone would be pop flyin' to get a "new" associate who doesn't need trained.

I'll be doing the same job, but with a (possibly) lighter workload. The store I'm at gets the most business in the district. Mainly I'm transferring because one of the assistant managers is a total bitch. She is constantly looking over my shoulder and going into the orders while I'm trying to work. When anyone is in an order, the order is locked. And sometimes the system glitches, and it stays locked until a manager unlocks the order. Just by being here, she stresses me out, causing me to make mistakes, like not noticing something the first time I look for it. She also claims I'm just picking a couple items from one order before going to the next, which isn't exactly true.

From what I've heard from several people, she's like that to everyone.

Hey AZ! I think I've talked a lot about what I do as a scare-er, but I never posted pictures. So, I wanna show you guys how spooky I am. (Actually not that spooky at first glance, though.)

Awkward lighting, but my friend took pictures for me, so I'm super pop flyin' about that. This is my full costume. White shoes, white pants, PANK and yellow tank tops, and a light blue tattered robe. You can't see it, but it's also got gross stains on it. Some fake, some real, but all really unidentifiable.

And then this is my face. My make up is pretty plain, honestly. Just red around the eyes, and then outline my eyes with black eye liner and smudge it all to make myself look sickly and like I was crying and up for hours. Oh, and I make myself paler with white powder.

It's been fun scaring people. I cackle and giggle creepily. I also ask people if they want to be my friend and stay forever with me. My favorites are when I say silly puns and jokes like "You look like you'd fit right in... to a coffin!"

Jeez, it looks like someone punched you in the eyes a few times. ;-;

Is there a... clearer picture of the costume? Hard to see what's going on, really. I bet it does the trick in the dark, though! :P

Whoops, I forgot to take a picture of my costume tonight. I'll try and do it next weekend.

I had my hair tied up in pig tails today. It was a nice change cause I wasn't feeling super hot, but it wasn't so great that A LOT of people were taking pictures of me because of this. It was so annoying, and also felt weird. I'm going to be on the internet. My scary face and character-self is going to be on the internet and this is going to be a thing people remember. I'm probably gonna try and find photos of myself everywhere. People even took videos. ;-; I appreciate that they like me enough to do that, and it's great when they get times that I get really good scares, but it's still weird.

My dad came into my room a little bit after 6 AM to ask if I knew my schedule (which I keep posted on the door) says I work 5 AM to 2 PM.

I usually work noon to 9, so of course I didn't see that curve ball. So I'm gonna clock in two hours late today, and I might be able to keep my supervisor from getting rustled if I start a conversation with that explanation.

My brother had a workplace adventure at McDonald's, courtesy of Michael Bay.

I asked him how he got a mean-looking burn mark on his face when he got home from work this morning. He non-chalantly said one of the ovens he works with exploded when the switch snapped off while turning it on, connecting wires that shouldn't touch, and making it shoot fire out of it while a few embers caught him with one landing immediately below his right eye.

Apparently, being the meat shield that he is, he prevented the building from catching on fire as all the embers hit him instead of the fryer behind him. He went on to hand the broken switch to his terrified coworker and announced he was going on break.

Additional thing that would make the story unbelievable for everyone who has not met my brother: he mentioned that he wished his shoulder had caught fire at the end of the event before officially taking his break just so he could casually pat it out while his coworkers watched in horror.
He has a troubling sense of humor at times.

The Tae Kwon Do master that he works with is afraid of him on merit of his absolute silence whenwith other people are joking about death and guns around him, so I guess he is.

Also, shoppers keep thinking he is a terrorist while we are at Walmart.

Does your brother look... terroristy?

I am assuming skin color slightly darker than Beetlejuice's and a beard of some kind.

I am not surprised that Walmart employees think this imaginary version of your brother i just came up with is a terrorist.

No. He wears a black trench coat, leather gloves, combat boots and has the facial expression range of the Terminator.

And it isn't employees. It is shoppers that get panicky. According to Mom, my brother was waiting for me to get back from the restroom and someone hastily walked over to her to warn her about the "scary man in a trench coat!!!!"
Mom was offended and yelled at her, saying"He is my son!" The nosey person reportedly hurriedly walked off to the deli.

If anything, he looks like a hired hitman more than a terrorist.

According to him, terrorists wear sweater vests. Not trench coats.
