Candorville is probably the funniest newspaper comic I've read.
*looks up in my handy dandy portable dictionary*Fauche wrote:Ironic? What's ironic.
irony 1 |ˈīrənē; ˈiərnē|
noun ( pl. -nies)
the expression of one's meaning by using language that normally signifies the opposite, typically for humorous or emphatic effect : “Don't go overboard with the gratitude,” he rejoined with heavy irony.
• a state of affairs or an event that seems deliberately contrary to what one expects and is often amusing as a result: [with clause ] the irony is that I thought he could help me.
American dictionaries have redefined irony to include incongruity!
Now it is ironic to claim a person is misusing the word ironic when they are describing an incongruous event!
I'm not soulless. I have plenty of souls. They're just not mine.

Agreed. Such a funny comic being in a serious broadsheet newspaper may be ironic, but not what he said.
They believe that originally, there was nothing. THEN, out of that nothing, there was something. And it was THAT that exploded!
See? Makes sense!
Oh please, serious scientists don't believe that!
