The whole "cat + reading = no bueno" comic just reminded me.
My Aunt J has a dog and since I often go over there after going bookshopping with her, I sometimes find myself sitting in her chair and reading.

One time I did this and her dog put her paws up on one of the arms. And stared at me. And stared at me. And stared at me.

It was... disturbing. She just sat there and STARED. And I tried moving her and she'd just get back up there again. And it was ridiculously hard to budge her too. It got so bad that I found I couldn't really read.
