bbb wrote:One frigid Halloween evening, a young bachelor named Dan was panicking because his house wasn't scary at all, and that would mean a lot of kids would steal from his candy hoarde, which stretched for miles in underground tunnels. "I've got to defend my sweet, sweet treasure. To the candy vault!" he exclaimed, heading for his candy elevator.
Once he reached the vault, he armed himself with his trusty CANDY CORN REVOLVER, TOOTSIE ROLL SHOTGUN, and PEZ UZI. "This'll take care of 'em..." he said with a low chuckle. Dan went back up to his house, went outside and took aim at a kid walking up his driveway. The kid got a full blast of tootsie rolls, which made him instantly sick of candy forever, and he ran back home. Other kids took notice, and began pulling CANDY CANE SWORDS out of their pillow cases. "Oh dang, they were prepared!" Dan thought to himself, his fear coming back to him.
Before he could reload or take out another weapon, he was surrounded by a group of HomeStuck fans dressed in bad troll costumes, all bearing down on him with their pepperminty cutlasses, grinning menacingly. They dragged him away, and the rest of the neighborhood snacked on his candy reserves for the next three years.

Working on an updated showreel now that I’ve finished my comedy brief animation. I’m gonna draw some things up to replace the plain text at the start and the end, and the end text is going to stay onscreen for longer before fading away, but any opinions and ideas for what could be changed/tweaked/added/etc. would be appreciated. :>

Repin study.
Oh Ilya Repin, when will you cease being my favourite artist?
I'm also working on this painting for a portfolio peice
I'm unsure if I should leave some space left over for implyed space or I should just fill it all in.

Are you going to paint the central figure, or leave it with just outlines?

Im going to sort of leave it half white because that contrasts nicely with the background, but it will have some colour added to it.

I was mucking about with a new way of structuring bodies while in the initial sketch stage and ended up with this. It's not perfect, but I'm pretty pleased with it because it's a pose I've never really tried before and legs usually give me a shit-ton of trouble, but I kind of like how they turned out here. The one closest to the viewer, at least. I will get the hang of the lower body eventually darnit.

I felt like drawing a thing again.
My character, Garrett, looks way too pale in this. His skin is supposed to be browner. I think what happened is I painted the skin tone first BEFORE I knew what kind of lighting and background I would use.
Other than that I think I did an okay job?

I know the icon on his blindfold is supposed to be stitched on in a dark color, but even then, it's not very visible and I have to squint super-hard to see it. Other than that...well, you should know my opinion! uwu
