That is the most adorable tree. It's really good, Zang!

VtM - When You Fell Asleep With Blood On Your Teeth
I was trying to get better with lighting and shading and trying some new stuff (and failing horribly).
The drawing was inspired by the song So Much Wine by The Handsome Family (cover by Andrew Bird).
Still super jealous of Zang's improvement. Lovely tree.

That's pretty cool lookin'
Also, for all you arters out there, I have a request type thingy.
I've been getting into hobbyist game design through RPG Maker, but I've been wanting to step away from that for a bit and try my hand at a 2.5D(3d models, 2d movement) platformer using Unity. The request part comes from the fact that I cannot for the life of me model or draw things for this project. I don't want to seem like I'm just bumming stuff of of whoever feels like doing this, so I'm just asking if anyone's interested. I honestly can't pay you 'cause I don't have any cheddar, but I can try to make it worth your while somehow. For this reason, I'd probably prefer just like "Oh sure I can do that in my spare time" rather than "I will dedicate all my work to this", because I sorta feel bad for asking this in the first place. I would just enjoy having a product that doesn't use the default packaged-in assets, but I can't create worth shit.
Alternatively, I would ask for character sprites, facesets, or bust portraits (like in Fire Emblem) for the RPG idea I have. I honestly don't expect someone to take this on, I'm just positing this as a "rainy day" sort of thing; to do if you're bored, have nothing better to do, are interested in giving it a try, or a combination of all three or more. Just send me a PM or something if you're interested in working on one of these.

What sort of feeling are you going for with it?

I wouldnt think any feeling is in this painting, I mean its a place I used to work at so I feel close to it because of that.
But it was more of a practice of understanding light vs dark.

The cars seem a little flat, but the reflections are beautiful.
I also really like the sign. I'm not sure why, I just do.
It's a good piece. I like it.

I love your painting style, Willow.
I finally uploaded a song that I finished six months ago and forgot to post.

The only thing I like is the piano, the other instruments ruin it a bit for me. The continued drums don't really fit, and the guitar sounds out of place at the beginning. Only at 1:20/21 when the drums slowed down too, from there on nothing sounds distorted to me and everything works together well. Until 2:24 when it gets faster again; the guitar still sounds good with the piano, so I guess my problem really are the drums, they just throw off the flow too much for me.

softened some of the lighting/shading up a bit
I see you're playing a lot with atmosphere and giving subjects in the image a sense of weight/depth. This really shows you're creating a sense of perspective. Your choice of colors create a very sunny and calm setting. It's tranquil.
One thing about how you used to draw was the sketchy lines, which create a sense of anxiety, constant movement, nothing linear, disorientation. This is fine when placed in the hands of someone who does this with intentional purpose. By learning to control the lines and when they break( for instance on the tree trunk, the lines have a natural, jagged texture to them like bark would) helps to show you know what you're doing and nothing stands out immediately. Everything feels like there's a purpose.
You use gradients here. The sunshine is the best part of the shading. Late afternoon is seems. There's a nice touch of perspective with the birds, the way of breaking apart the clouds abruptly to enhance a sense of fading away, and the forest far away. The style of art is consistent. Simplicity but with a grounding in shadows and lighting that really help to make it pop from the simple shapes and add life to them.
You did good Zang. You dun good.

Herp, I uploaded the wrong version of the audio the first time. My bad.
Anyway, like I said in the first version of the post, just a chill thang for Kane and Rhana.
And thank you for the input on the Pandaemonium song, Tatzel. I shall test the suggestions in later drafts of the piece.
EDIT: And here's a larger version of the image.
