One thing about how you used to draw was the sketchy lines, which create a sense of anxiety, constant movement, nothing linear, disorientation. This is fine when placed in the hands of someone who does this with intentional purpose. By learning to control the lines and when they break( for instance on the tree trunk, the lines have a natural, jagged texture to them like bark would) helps to show you know what you're doing and nothing stands out immediately. Everything feels like there's a purpose.
You use gradients here. The sunshine is the best part of the shading. Late afternoon is seems. There's a nice touch of perspective with the birds, the way of breaking apart the clouds abruptly to enhance a sense of fading away, and the forest far away. The style of art is consistent. Simplicity but with a grounding in shadows and lighting that really help to make it pop from the simple shapes and add life to them.
You did good Zang. You dun good.
