FireflyYoshi, this is going to be harsh, but everything you do always looks the same. Same pose, same expression, same motives, same same same same. I am just tired of looking at your things, the only thing which changes are pretty much only the colors.

You need to draw other stuff! Let your characters run, jump, lie, interact with each other! Draw them angry, pop flyin', sad, confused! Let their hands and poses express their personalities or their feelings! Draw something else than Cutman and Pokemon and OC's which just look like Pokemon again and try out new things!

You really really really need to move out of your comfort zone and do other stuff. Hey it's okay if you feel like drawing a particular thing a lot at the time, if only it was something else than a 3/4 sideview pose with a smirk and probably giving a peace sign over and over again. Chloemew isn't posting anymore, but she drew a lot of Megaman related stuff herself, and she always did different things, both silly sketches and proper drawing, which never made it tiresome to look at.

I know you said you don't want to be a professional, but it's easy to tell that you like drawing, so you should atleast try and put some effort into things, because the way things are, if this continues I'm pretty sure people just keep ignoring you and/or give you the same advice over and over again. Drawing ain't easy, and it very likely won't work the first time you try something new, but all of us started somewhere, no one was able to just suddenly draw good - it's all trough continued practice and determined work.

Thanks for the advice.

I have to agree with you that I ways draw things in the same view, that's probably one of the things I hate and want to improve most. Your other points are also valid, but FUCK there are so many 3/4 veiws looking to the left. I've been doing that same thing for 4 years, so that's probably the thing I most want to improve, atm.

(Though I don't draw the V sign all that much :/ When I do, it's to reference something. Also I'm starting to loose some interest in pokemon for now, what with the focus on cartoony robots and cats.)

So because there are so many already it's okay to keep on doing this?

Stop. Right there. Exactly because you've been doing the same for such a long time you should do other stuff. And wanting to "improve" on the same area will do you no good. How about you learn some basic anatomy instead? If you got an understanding how those things work, you'll see that you profit from this a lot more in all areas.

I said I didn't want to carry on with them. I wasn't excusing myself, I want to change that more than anything else that isn't anatomy.

Speaking of, I am working on improving anatomy, but I haven't posted any of the results yet.

I've found that drawing the object you want the character to interact with first helpps with trying out different poses and whatnot. Might be worth giving a shot
