She's technically a soul, which is a class of character that usually are born in Soul Society rather than being dead people (because I wasn't sure if ghosts could count), so she's not human during the course of the game (though, I guess eventually she could be reborn as a human because Bleach stuff). This was her only appearance in Bleach anything.
