This reminds me of that wifi battle I had a while back.

The battle ended up as a 1v1 with my Metagross Vs Scizor.
His bullet punch (critical hit!) finished me off and himself because he had a life orb and he won. I was annoyed at how close it was.

I think self-destruct and explosion doesn't do as much because they remove the part where it halves the defense of the target to work out damage. I have no idea about self-destruction clause... I leik teh competitive battling. Problem is that there are no tournaments what-so-ever near where I live...
