Re: pics or gtfo
Cat people annoy me. It isn't cute when a cat's being an asshole. It isn't cute when they jump on your face, when they scratch your legs, when they knock shit over or anything else. It's just them being an asshole. Dogs become part of your pack. Cats act like a pet. It's just Stockholm Syndrome. I ...

Re: Let's Zap to the Extreme!
Most Christians tend not to take everything in the Bible as true any more, and are a lot more loose about these rules. Also advicing Chris to hand out some booty whooping is the dumbest thing I've read all day, unless you meant that as "it would be hilarious".

Re: Science is interesting
On the black holes reverting back into stars: I'm personally not up to date with the current theory of the universe (whether the big bang theory has been thrown out yet) but I generally operate on the theory that the universe is infinite, and that stars are not finite, but rather cyclical things. T...

Re: Science is interesting
I doubt when one scientist claims something that opposes what another scientist would say, and they both claim they're right. This is called a debate. This is encouraged in science to promote formulation of better theories. Also, about most major topics there is little discussion at the core of the...

Re: Science is interesting
That is actually a pretty interesting idea. Obvious limitations are of course the accelerated expansion of the universe, but I'll certainly think this one over for a bit. I'm going out now though, I'll be back tomorrow.

Re: Science is interesting
Well, I'm just going to go ahead and complicate things up for you. Also, I've added sort of a disclaimer to my last long post in this thread, in case anyone missed it. 1. Atoms are composed of neutrons and protons (which have mass) and electrons (which do not) Approximately right, however electrons ...

Re: Science is interesting
Oh, that's neat, I didn't know that(the atoms shedding their electrons). That would allow MUCH higher density yeah, the nucleus is only a small speck in the emptiness contained in the electron shells. How can the protons in the core stay together though? At smaller distances, Elektromagnetic forces ...

Re: Science is interesting
To add some math to that for those interested noone : The formula for the gravitational pull of a cosmic object on a much smaller object is F=-G*m/(R+h)^(2). The formula to calculate mass from density is m=d*V. F= force, G=gravitational constant, m=mass, R=cosmic object radius, h=small object height...

Oh you were serious with that.
Read the entire page if you haven't already, it's pretty interesting.
Edit: Man I suck at BBcode.

Isn't jello more of a solid than a liquid though? The fruit doesn't move because the jello is too thick to move through by simple force of gravity or buoyancy.
