Re: Things that make you sad.

You could use those 1-2 semesters to learn how to drive. You'd be a lot less dependent if you have your own car and it'd be one thing you wouldn't have to worry about once you're at that uni.

Re: Things that make you sad.

There are phonelines for exactly that. I think you're in Scotland? I found this one. Also take a look at this page.
Also remember that the forum is here and willing to listen.

Re: Movies

Late answer time. the Necromancer into The Hobbit even though it canonically happened centuries earlier Um, I'm not sure what you're referring to here, since the White Council kicking Sauron out of Dol Guldur happens in the book, it is given as the reason Gandalf couldn't travel with the dwarves any...

Re: Da dada diiii daaaa

I liked Gamer, but that's just me I guess, the fear of being caught when you're supposed to sleep is fun. I tried it again and this time I actually watched how it works and it's actually a lot more fun than I previously thought. I really like Pilotwings and Wuhu Island too. Also I've been practical...

Re: Health Thread: Questions, Concerns, and Discussion

-Avoid listening to loud music and don't hang out in places with loud noises without proper protection
-Get a doctor to look at it.

My sister's children successfully gave me a headache. I never get headaches.

Maybe try Opera Turbo. Its primarily a compression service to reduce bandwidth but in the process it also serves as a proxy.
The new desktop version is just a dumbed-down Chrome clone but then again every major browser is nowadays. I don't know about the mobile one.

Re: The Legend of Zelda

Okay thanks.
It's the only thing I need for a 100% completion and I've been checking the locations of all the heart pieces for several days but I haven't found it yet. My only guess is that I did get it once but forgot to save.

Re: The Legend of Zelda

I'm missing a single heart piece in WWHD and I can't figure out which one it could be. The only one I don't clearly recall getting is the one in Terry's shop. I think when I first visited him I only had enough cheddar to buy the bottle and the chart, and he said the shop was going to close in 7 days...

It's funny when you're just relaxing at home and you get calls from insurance companies about cancer or funeral prearrangements.

You could take a picture while you're there, in case they find out and assume you were out selling drugs to orphans with your punk friends.

Re: Super Smash Bros

Now that I've been playing for a while I can't help but feel disappointed by the WiiU stages. In Brawl there was barely a handful of stages I didn't enjoy and almost none that I really disliked, but on the WiiU whenever I have to pick a stage I go "ehhh not that one" on half of them. Most of them ar...

Re: All topics unimportant enough to not create a thread for

I'm majoring in IT and during the first semester I had a long and never resolved argument with a guy who insisted that downloading stuff from the Internet made your computer physically heavier because it now contained data that wasn't there before and I explained to him why it doesn't work that way ...

It's okay as long as you have decent clothes and there's no wind.
I wouldn't survive in a place where the temperature regularly reaches 30°C, though, as 25 is already too hot for me.
