Why do people go online in Smash Bros if they're just going to stand still and duck and waste other people's time.
You can do the same thing offline, asshole.
Or you could do something better with your life, like going on chatroulette.

Re: All topics unimportant enough to not create a thread for
Looks like I'm putting Linux on my next build, then. I don't like being harassed by advertising for shit I don't want or need. You'd better use something other than Ubuntu then. It started sending everything you type in the Dash menu (equivalent to Windows' Start menu) to Amazon to retrieve ads it ...

Re: All topics unimportant enough to not create a thread for
On Win10 you can actually claim it serves a purpose. Like, recording everything you type and install and do and say in order to analyse it and theoretically improve their services, sending your wi-fi password to the NSA so they can make sure no one is trying to hack your Facebook, and saving the con...

Re: Things that piss you off
I failed it twice, the second time at the very first intersection because the examiner had to stop me from being run over by an eighteen-wheeler. I don't know how it is in Iceland but here you have to wait one month before you retry. I started in October so I'd have a few tries before the winter bec...

Re: Things that piss you off
You should take the test just to get it over with and then you can stop practising forever if that's what you want. That's what I did, and I bodaciously didn't touch a steering wheel for six months after that and it was a big relief.

Re: All topics unimportant enough to not create a thread for
As far as I'm aware the keylogger is a new thing, and previous versions didn't shove ads in your face when using the start menu. Could you provide sources? Also some spying features reportedly cannot be turned off or will stay enabled no matter how you play around with settings and registry entries ...

Re: All topics unimportant enough to not create a thread for
From what I've seen it is a welcome improvement over 8, but the spying and shittiness leftovers from 8 mean I'll probably never upgrade my machines that run 7.

I've started commenting on reddit. Someone's gonna have to take me to the woods and end this tragedy.

Re: Things that Mildly Annoy You
Homework is online and our teacher has the worst file system ever. To find it you have to open it, then WHAP folder, then homework, then week 2, then homework again, then week 2 again, then you actually get to the homework. She nested folders named exactly the same as the folder they were in. Was m...

Yesterday our bread smelled like rubbing alcohol and today it smells (and tastes) like fruity wine, but it isn't moldy or stale??

Re: The Current Events Thread
This is good news. I thought the republicans were going to win because of the voters' tendency to elect the candidate from the opposite party once a president has done two mandates (I remember being told it's a thing). Though the voting system isn't proportional, unfortunately, so the end results wi...

Something very similar was happening to me last winter. It was my modem that was dying.

Re: The Current Events Thread
Well here's hoping he succeeds soon. That's a horrible thing to say. Bit on the side here, but it might not be. It's possible he's suffering tremendously. The expected answer to "this guy is suffering and suicidal" isn't "I hope he successfully kills himself then" but "I hope he gets better". This ...

Re: The Current Events Thread
I hope I don't sound like I'm slamming you down because that's not my intent. You have the right to have and express and retain your opinions and I respect that. I've been told death penalties are unethical (Because mass murder isn't? Cheap shot, I know) I don't think anyone is saying what he did wa...

Re: The Current Events Thread
Isn't an execution even more expensive anyway?
I was actually relieved when I heard about it yesterday because death penalty is an unethical relic from the past.
