That's dumb. Can't your teacher just ask your teammates if you contributed?

It still isn't clear what your actual problem is. Is it the way text is displayed, or the way it is input as you type?
Is the font simply borked, did it replace your system's default fonts, or did it screw with other fonts?

Sometimes teachers have to correct everyone's grade to fit a normative distribution (ie a third of the students between 70 and 90%, not more than a fourth over 90% etc) because that's what the administration expects. You might have been downgraded because of that.
