lord of the rings online avoids the whole different outfits for different sexes and is actually pretty egalitarian. You also have social outfits and practical outfits so you can be a dude in a dress stabbing orcs in the face and still be a legitimate threat.

If you obtained it though "alternate means" your experience of the single player might be marginally better because you won't get kicked out of said single player if your internet is spotty.
