It took me a fair amount of tries to do that part as well, mostly due to my DS's finicky touchscreen, which resulted in Zelda spending much of her time scraping her face against things.

Oh yeah, I remember reading about that. When I alternate between cycling around in Diamond and in SoulSilver, I can tell they changed the way they were loaded, since it's a lot smoother in the latter. Although I only really noticed it after going back on Diamond after playing SS for so long. :B
