My laptop crashed and won't boot again.

I got most of the data from my corrupted profile (save for some unimportant stuff) onto a new profile, sounds like I'm good to go now.

On Windows 7.
Upon booting the laptop, it now tells me that it can't load my user profile. I don't have another one to log in to.
...What do I do? How can I restore my profile, or open a new one?

My laptop's been "checking for errors on C:" for more than 12 hours and I don't think the progress bar is even at 10%. What program are you using? You could create a Hiren's boot CD (has about every troubleshooting DOS program you could hope for, including HDD checking programs for most manufacture...
