Re: Movies

I think the special effects are fine - the suit is odd, but then I realize it's supposed to look more like the ring's light wrapped around his body rather than a physical, material suit.

I'll end up seeing it anyway, always a sucker for super hero flicks.

Re: Secret Motherfucking Santa

I'm pretty much going to mail it as soon as I can, to avoid the present getting to its destination late. I also think it's just nice to get something in the mail before the actual holidays.

Re: Education and School

All art classes: Painting Drawing and Perspective Figure Drawing Illustration Basics I'm having a lot of fun.

Re: Art Thread

Last week in Painting, the substitute had us do a two-hour nude figure oil painting on paper. Three layers of paint, only using yellow ochre, burnt sienna, black, and white. This semester is my first real experience using paint, and I'm satisfied with the result. (NSFW, etc.) There are lot of errors...

OKAY, like I said before a bunch of us are playing on the West server. THEY ARE: Myself - Terla Odds - Muura Dirges - Ljyx Yeili - Crepe Cafall - Cafell Dreilex - Dreilex We're all at various levels. I think Odds is the highest, with Yeili just behind her. We are also making an AZ guild, I'll post w...

Re: Movies

My biggest grievance with Half-Blood Prince was the lack of Aurors patrolling Hogwarts. Their presence was the whole reason Malfoy was working on a way to sneak in the Death Eaters - so they could fight the Aurors while Malfoy and Snape went to kill Dumbledore. You would think that, since they took ...

Seriously you'd think the bright red flowers would give them a clue, but they were probably stoned while they did it.

Re: The Horticulture Thread

My aunt owns a greenhouse business, and whenever I'd come back from visiting her in Georgia I'd always have plants with me. Some of my favorite plants are hibiscus, and one time she gave me a five-foot-tall Texas Star Hibiscus. Issue was, their leaves look similar to cannabis. It ended up getting st...

Re: It's moments like these that you need Minties

Frankenstein You seem to have forgotten that the majority of people haven't read Frankenstein. Most modern depictions of Frankenstein stem from the 1931 version , having evolved from it into the green, sewn-up monster you see on Halloween decorations. Visual icons tend to have more impact than nove...

That sound brings to mind an old, abandoned house in the middle of nowhere and no one to hear you scream~

Re: Movies

Star Trek and Casino Royale were great/enjoyable, certainly - but the originals weren't necessarily bad. (Depending on your ratio between fan:movie critic .) Although Nolan's Batman reboot was also much greater than the originals. Don't know where I'm going with this but basically I wasn't dismissin...
