Re: The Legend of Korra, because it deserves its own thread

All in all, Korra was decent and will be a great jumping off point for season 2. Remember, it wasn't until season 2 of TLA where they began focusing on Aang's problem with the Avatar State (after he abused it so much in Season 1), including his fear of it and his lack of control. I'm sure some of t...

Re: Keep the ITU and WCIT from Limiting Internet Freedom.

You never know what could happen; informing people about this conference is important because I'm pretty sure that there are people out there who think that the shelving of SOPA and PIPA were the end of governments wanting to regulate the Internet. Complacency is dangerous.

Re: The Halo Section

I think it was more like they looked at that one helmet in Reach - the Gungnir one - and saw that it was pretty popular, and then thought that they should make a bunch of new ones with no visors. And some of the ones with stealth in mind (Infiltrator, CIO) you could say it's because visor reflection...

Re: The Halo Section

And about the fact that current-gen graphics can let developers do more things and make more things, I think it's important for said developers to remember that quality over quantity is often still the best policy. Otherwise you end up with things like the Scanner helmet, which just looks like they ...

Re: The Halo Section

Reyo, YCobb is talking about videogame art design and not the graphics. Also, armor customization was in Halo 3, which was very much another Master Chief-centric game. And Character customization is still very much a big deal in that your character is part of the story of Halo 4, just in Spartan Ops...

Re: The Halo Section

Well the Oceanic implies that it's meant for the ocean and extreme pressure (a drastic opposite of the vacuum of space with no pressure at all).

And yeah, I strongly agree with you that the proportions on the lower body are weird as all hell.

Re: The Current Events Thread

But from what Madican's posted, it seems that the only thing that matters to the NAACP is that the people who were evicted from their houses were black, and not that they were violating the terms of Section 8.

I think he may be talking specifically about the Los Angeles Branch of the NAACP.

because they're such a weird-ass symbol in the first place that nobody can actually decide how the hell one would standardize it.

Keep the ITU and WCIT from Limiting Internet Freedom.

The International Telecommunication Union (TIU) is a UN agency that is going to gather government leaders from around the globe for the World Conference on International Telecommunications (WCIT). The decisions made at this conference could redefine how the Internet functions, and not in a good way....

Re: The Halo Section

I think the body-suit is supposed to be some kind of nano-weave armor thing, but yeah, a lot of proportions on the Spartan IVs seem off. From the lists of helmets I can see that a fair amount of them, more than half, have visors. Also, the art style for Halo has been constantly changing since the fi...
