Re: Hurrah, A MLP Thread!
I really was expecting them to pull that. Would've been a nice touch for the parents who watch the show with their kids and of course the older fans of the show.

Re: Movies
Gonna go see The Hobbit, and I'm wondering if it'll be in 24 frames per second or 48 frames per second.

You don't need to give someone the combination to a safe carrying deadly weapons if you have the ability to reach it yourself. B...

I know, it's ridiculous. However the only thing really interesting about Far Cry 3's multiplayer seems to be the map editor. Everything else seems like it was taken verbatim from Call of Duty.

Re: The Current Events Thread
The person in question may actually be mentally stable when they buy their gun, though. And there's the rub; you never know who's going to snap and who's going to stay sane. The firearms that Adam Lanza used in the shooting were registered to his mother, Nancy. Not sure if Nancy had her guns in a sa...

Re: The Current Events Thread
Yeah, that's the main issue I have with gun control laws. A person who wants to protect their house/apartment or go hunting for animals can do just fine with a handgun, shotgun, or hunting rifle.

Re: The Current Events Thread
I've never read or heard anything about the NRA being an obstacle to educating people about gun safety. It may be possible, but the NRA has always been heavily opposed to gun control legislation or anything that could curtail their ability to acquire and use guns.

Re: The Current Events Thread
Changing the culture surrounding guns in the United States isn't going to be easy when there's so much media portrayal of firearms in a positive light as if they're super problem solvers. Try and change that, you'd get harassed for censorship. The best thing I can think of is an education campaign, ...
