Re: Favorite YouTube LPers

You could probably find it super-cheap online and then not watch the rest of their playthrough until you beat the game.

Re: Movies

The scene with Gollum is something that they had to get right, and they pulled it off quite well. Also, I am very glad that when Bilbo was about to kill Gollum , they didn't have an echo of what Gandalf said earlier on. Good judgment on Jackson's part. I feel that Radagast could have been slightly l...

Re: All topics unimportant enough to not create a thread for

Over the holidays I'm going to start walking my two dachshunds around the neighborhood, both for their health and my health. Seriously, one of them seems like they're the Gabe Newell of dogs.

Re: The Elder Scrolls

I feel as if the Companions questline could have had more of an ending. And I'd like to kill the rookie who keeps disrespecting me. I feel like all of the quest lines should have had more quests to them. I never actually did start or play through the whole Empire/Thalmor vs. The Stormcloaks, but th...

I like that. After all the bullshit and danger and catastrophic stuff that happens, Cain decides that he's gonna take a load off and drive a taxi around until the world ends.

Re: The Current Events Thread

Back in freshmen year of high school at a Catholic institution, one of the semesters of Theology that I took discussed human sexuality and how it deals with Catholic theology. What I learned in that semester is that the Catholic Church believed that human beings who are gay, lesbian, bisexual, or tr...

Re: Shoot and loot 2

Any news on when the next DLC is coming out? Not really interested in buying the DLC, I just want to know because the faster it come out, the closer the GOTY Edition is to being released.

Re: The Current Events Thread

The Church doesn't hate them as human beings; they just believe that sex between two people of the same gender and marriage between two people of the same gender is sinful, but not to the point of allowing them to be killed by a group/government. That's what I learned when I went to Catholic high sc...

Re: Movies

The Rock giants were pretty bad booty. I agree. I remember them from the book, but I didn't think that Jackson would make them into Colossi the size of the actual mountains . That scene was utterly amazing. Also, thanks for the heads-up, Accordion. According to IMDB, he's also playing The Necromanc...

Re: Books and shit

I think that it's part of some psychology thing. Having lots of shit makes people feel good, but having lots of digital shit makes you feel like you own less because it's not physical. Example: "I own all of this!" [ Points at bookshelf full of novels, videogames and comics ] Compared to: "I own all...

TheStranger wrote:You mean the traditionally homophobic catholic church being homophobic? Shock!
The Catholic Church believes that all human life is sacred. The only things that they believe are sinful about homosexuality are the sex and the marriage aspects.

In their latest part of the Metroid Fusion playthrough, Matt talked about how Other M ruined everything "from a thematic story point [of view, I'm guessing]" and Liam agreed with him on that.

There's hope for this series yet.

Re: Movies

The Hobbit was great. I understand they cut some stuff and added some stuff. I wish that there was more time for them to talk to the Eagles , but the movie was already nearly 3 hours long at that point. The stuff they added was taken from the appendices that Tolkien wrote, so it wasn't like they wer...

Cool. I try and see it on a rerun sometime.
