Re: General Game Gabbin'

Too much work. They should have just made the 3ds dual-analog from the start. None of this 'buy an extra thing for your system that doesn't even work effectively with the system' boosheet. I agree. I mean, look at this : http://i.imgur.com/vXGWYRg.png There's a lot of room on that right side; they ...

Re: General Game Gabbin'

I just looked up some stuff about Snake Eater 3D's controls; apparently without the Circle Pad you have to use the ABXY buttons to aim. That still doesn't seem like it would be precise enough. In Subsistence, I was able to line up headshots on The End with the Mk22 tranq pistol rather easily with an...

Re: Doctor Who

Whining about a colorful outfit on The Doctor? Does anybody remember 5 and 6? But 6 especially, though, holy crap. Everyone's going "B-but muh brown trenchcoat and moody colors..."

Re: Wii U: Nintendo's Next Console

The pad may not be heavy, but I can imagine that holding it up for prolonged amounts of time could be difficult. I also forgot that during battles I would need to use the D-Pad to use Shiki/Beat/Joshua to their full potential. So if I wanted to play TWEWY to a good capacity on the WiiU I would need ...

Re: Favorite YouTube LPers

I like when they demonstrate that they understand storytelling/video game techniques and clichés well enough to have a good discussion of them, and then their immediate next line is to riff on whatever stupid thing has happened in-game while they were talking. Their Heavy Rain playthrough had a goo...

Re: General Game Gabbin'

As of right now, a stylus/touch screen is still not a good substitute for more traditional control methods such as d-pads and analog sticks. I may not have a 3DS, but I sure as hell know that with a game like Snake Eater 3D, a stylus just wouldn't cut it. In MGS3 on the PS2/PS3/360, you control Nake...

Re: General Game Gabbin'

It looks like Xbox Live is making headway right now; four out of the six promotional panels on the home screen are related to videogames!

Re: Anime & Manga

Agreed, Fuzznut. It really impresses me when an anime in general has a good stable of likable characters.

Re: Western Cartoons/Comics

Thanks; I'll see if they have the extended edition there as well. If not, there are a good amount of other comic shops here in Houston that might.

Re: Western Cartoons/Comics

I'm willing to give the book a shot. I have some disposable income I can use on it next time I head to the LCS.

Re: Western Cartoons/Comics

Peopl are talking about comic book authors in the Movies thread, and that reminded me that I really need to check out some of Grant Morrison's work. I have heard nothing but good things about the Animal Man series, but I am also interested in Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth. Is that ...

Re: Things that piss you off

Like I said, I understand that Michael Vick paid for his crimes. I respect that. What I'm irritated about is that the NFL let him come back to the game after his widely publicized accusation and conviction. Like TheStranger said, a non-famous person could go through the whole song-and-dance that Vic...

Re: The Cockfighting Society thread

Oh yeah, now I remember. Man, that was weird. But then again, most of that filler between Cerulean and Vermillion was pretty weird, there was a ton of stuff that had nothing to do with the games A ton of stuff that had nothing to do with the games sums up about 2/3 of the original series, I'd reckon.
