Jump scares are merely surprising. Of course they'll make people jump, they're unexpected and sudden and often way too loud. As for gore, effects gore doesn't bother me at all, but images and thoughts of real life gore does make me extremely uncomfortable. I can watch all the Saw movies almost unfaz...
